Server Properties

Use this screen to view or update the numerous configurable system-wide server properties. To access the screen, select Utility Menu > Common Parameters > Server Properties from the system options.

Each row shows the name, value, cache time and description of a server property.

Change the details of properties, then click the Update button to store them, or click the browser Back button to return to the previous screen. Note that in most cases changes are applied immediately, and that incorrect settings may cause the system to stop functioning correctly! Properties that require a system restart to become effective show a yellow warning triangle immediately after their name.

BOUNCED_EMAIL_STRINGS. Help desk emails are automatically filtered to ensure that machine bounced messages are ignored. This property stores the phrases that suggest that an incoming email should be ignored for this reason. These can also be applied retrospectively using the Run Cleanup On Open Entries link on the List Outstanding (Help Desk) Entries screen.

IGNORE_EMAIL_STRINGS. Help desk emails are automatically filtered to ensure that machine generated messages are ignored. This property stores the phrases that suggest that an incoming email should be ignored for this reason.
