Managing user groups and permissions

User groups categorise user types, for example 'Admin' or 'Brand Owner', and are used to apply permissions across all users belonging to a single group.

This topic is aimed at platform owner admin staff who are authorised to manage user account details.

Follow these steps to list user groups:

  1. Select Access Control > User Management > Manage Groups & Permissions from the system options to display the List Groups screen.

Follow these steps to add a user group:

  1. Select Access Control > User Management > Manage Groups & Permissions from the system options to display the List Groups screen, and click the Add button above the column headers to display the Add Additional Groups pop-up screen.
  2. Enter the group name and description, and click the Add button to save them and close the pop-up.

Follow these steps to view or update the details of a user group:

  1. Select Access Control > User Management > Manage Groups & Permissions from the system options to display the List Groups screen.
  2. Find and click the required user group entry in the Name column to display the View Group Details screen.
  3. Change the details of the user group, then click the Update button to store them, or click the browser Back button to return to the previous screen.

Follow these steps to delete a user group:

  1. Select Access Control > User Management > Manage Groups & Permissions from the system options to display the List Groups screen.
  2. Tick the checkbox in the Selected column for the group(s) to delete, then click the Delete Checked button at the bottom of the screen.

Follow these steps to maintain user group permissions:

  1. Select Access Control > User Management > Manage Groups & Permissions from the system options to display the List Groups screen.
  2. Click the Manage link in the Permissions column for the associated group to display the List Permissions screen.
  3. Each row shows the name and description of a permission code and has a checkbox in the Selected column, which if ticked, indicates that the selected user group has been assigned that permission. Tick or untick relevant checkboxes, then click the Update button at the bottom of the screen to store your changes.
