Jackpots incentivise the use of games by giving the opportunity for a player to win a large amount of money, while creating interest by displaying the jackpot amount as it ticks upwards. Jackpots normally apply to slots, blackjack or poker and may be associated with one or several games at one time, for example a selection of the available slot games on an online casino.
The amount in the jackpot increases a small amount by taking a percentage, say 5%, of the bets wagered on the participating games. The AliQuantum Platform can also contribute to (AQP defined) jackpots during periods of player inactivity. Payout can be defined by one of several conditions, such as when a maximum value is reached, or on a random basis by pre-set odds. Once a player wins the jackpot, the jackpot resets to a predefined minimum level.
The AliQuantum Platform supports external jackpots, that is, those that are managed outside of the platform, using a set of system API messages. AQP defined jackpots are more highly configurable however, for example in the specification of jackpot incremental conditions.
